How to Remove Drive from RAID?

In Disk Management, you cannot remove a drive from the existing RAID array but instead of deleting the entire volume. The wizard can handle striped volume (RAID 0) and RAID-5 volume. After a drive has been removed, the capacity of the RAID array will reduce and the result won’t have an effect on other drives.

How to remove a drive from Software RAID array?

Step1: Launch Aomei Dynamic Disk Manager and click "Remove Drive from RAID" in the left navigation.

Step2: In the pop-up window, select the RAID volume from which you want to remove a drive. Then, click "Next".



Step3: In the following window, select the drive you want to remove from RAID volume. Then, click "Finish".



Step4: Click "commit".
